Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
About The Position
Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader. This role is for a Property Manager, also referred to as a Self Storage Manager, who will work independently at multiple locations. The position involves a balance of indoor and outdoor tasks, including assessing customer storage needs, selling packing and moving supplies, conducting daily storage unit inspections to ensure inventory and availability, and preparing spaces for rent. Financial responsibilities include auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits. The manager is also responsible for managing customer payments, making reminder and collection calls, and performing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep both interior and exterior areas clean and appealing.
Requirements
- Successful candidates come from a variety of customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies
- Valid driver’s license
- Utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business
Responsibilities
- Work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside
- Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
- Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
- Ensure spaces are ready to rent
- Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
- Help keep customers current with payments
- Make reminder and collection calls when required
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas
- Maintain exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris
