About the position

Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader and we are Hiring Now! Our Property Managers get to work independently at multiple locations; spending time both inside and outside. They assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies. Daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability help make sure spaces are ready to rent. Auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits are part of the daily business. We help keep our customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently at multiple locations
  • Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions
  • Sell packing and moving supplies
  • Conduct daily storage unit inspections
  • Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
  • Keep customers current with payments
  • Make reminder and collection calls
  • Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks
  • Open and close facilities
  • Assist reservation and walk-in customers in renting storage spaces
  • Document all customer payments accurately
  • Execute lien sales and administer transactions with Auction Vendors

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service centered sales environments such as retail, restaurant, or fast food
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to utilize own vehicle for travel between locations
  • Ability to transport, lift, and move items weighing up to 35 pounds
