About The Position

Dynamic Sealing Technologies, Inc. (DSTI) of Andover, MN is looking to hire a full-time Customer Service- Sales Support Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting stock product sales for new and existing customers. Our Sales Support Specialists also provide administrative support such as data entry and answering incoming calls to allow the Sales Engineers to focus on custom product sales. The person in this role is often the first point of contact for our customers and is responsible for creating a positive first impression.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1-3+ years of experience supporting a technical sales team in an manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven ability to assist customers via phone is required
  • Pleasant and professional when communicating verbally and in writing
  • Proficient with MS Office Products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use an ERP and/or CRM system
  • Ability to quickly learn and consistently utilize new software/technology
  • Organizational abilities, both in physical and electronic spaces
  • Proven ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team as well as work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in communications or related field may be helpful, but previous experience can be substituted for the degree requirement
  • A high degree of mechanical aptitude is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Take incoming customer calls and offer product support to customers on stock product sales.
  • Assist customers over the phone in determining the best stock product for their application and facilitate the sale.
  • Perform all administrative duties for the sales team with a high attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Lead efforts to create sales opportunities within standard product lines.
  • Identify callers that require custom solutions and gather initial requirements from the customer to assist the Sales Engineering team.
  • Accurately process orders within the Epicor ERP system and send acknowledgments to customers.
  • Regularly follow-up with existing and potential customers to gage satisfaction and determine opportunity for additional sales.
  • Support customers with providing information on order status, tracking orders and expediting when needed.
  • Assist customers with returning potentially defective product to DSTI by initiating return material authorizations (RMA) for warranty, repair and/or service concerns.
  • Accurately maintain and update customer information within the Epicor ERP system and ACT CRM database.
  • Assist the Sales Engineers with providing status updates to customers as requested.
