Purpose of the Job: Within this role you will be responsible for the overall efficiency of business operations after normal operating hours. Fielding incoming calls from drivers and relaying information to necessary parties, and tracking loads as requested from day shift personnel will be the main duties of this position. Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 4pm-12am and Saturday 3pm-11pm

Requirements

  • Minimum of HS diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness and ability to fill-in for other shifts when needed
  • Ability to remain alert during afternoon/evening hours
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent attendance record

Nice To Haves

  • Outbound call center customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for customers regarding transportation after standard business hours
  • Answer phone and email requests for status of transportation
  • Track inbound and outbound freight
  • Process charges to customer accounts
  • Provide reporting as requested by the customer
  • Scan and index documents for reference
  • Communicate with customers, carriers, manager, and team members
  • Prepare invoices for mailing when requested
  • Maintain integrity of system data through billing process, including load validations
