About The Position

FlexStaff is hiring a TEMP Customer Service Rep in Suffolk County part-time. Location: Port Jeferson/Suffolk County Schedule: Monday 8:00- 3:00p.m, Tuesday 8:00-3: 00p.m, & Friday 8: 00a.m-3: 00p.m Rate: $22/hr. The Customer Representative is the first point of contact for patients, delivering outstanding service and support. Primary responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound calls, resolving patient inquiries, and ensuring a positive patient experience, while working closely with the team to meet performance goals and contribute to the overall success of the Patient Access Department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service role preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and CRM software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.

  • Additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high volume of inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and empathy.
  • Address patient inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve patient concerns, including billing issues, medical inquiries, and technical support.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department as needed.
  • Accurately enter patient information and interaction details into the company EMR.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards and call handling guidelines.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on office and department policies, services, and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals.
  • Share insights and feedback to help improve processes and patient satisfaction.
