About The Position

Taylor Metal Products is a leading manufacturer of high-end steel roofing and siding products. We have been in business for over 35 years and continue to grow each year. We always hold to our motto, Quality Products, Exceptional Service. We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. Customer Service Representatives are responsible for providing an exemplary customer service experience. CSRs are also responsible for ensuring that customers receive products that meet their quality and application expectations.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1 yr.+ Sales Support exp. required
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Great analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Competency in the use of Excel, Word, and other software applications
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to perform self-directed work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude with an understanding of the value of teamwork and outstanding customer service
  • Possess an interest and drive to learn and grow within the company

  • Construction industry-related exp. Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls utilizing a multi-line internet-based phone system
  • Achieve and maintain all defined call service-related targets and goals
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products and explain the product features, and solicit orders.
  • Suggest products to customers based on their needs and interests.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
  • Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet the specific needs of each customer.
  • Resolve or clarify any errors and/or discrepancies with the appropriate departments
  • Demonstrate extensive product knowledge
  • Provide support to other departments as needed
  • Provide support to Outside Sales Representatives as required
  • Follow established administrative and clerical procedures
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and activities
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
