About The Position

As a Customer Service Representative at Veterans United, you will be the primary point of contact for callers, guiding them to the information and assistance they need. This includes answering general questions about VA loans, transferring calls to appropriate departments, and addressing various inquiries to support and enhance the lives of callers. The goal is to provide helpful and caring service to every caller. The Customer Service Center operates in a fast-paced yet supportive and close-knit team environment, fostering camaraderie through team bonding and celebrations. The center operates 24/7 to provide flexible support, offering a variety of shifts, with one specific shift assigned upon joining the team. This is not a current job opening but an opportunity to be considered for future roles within the Customer Service Center.

Requirements

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and learn quickly
  • Basic understanding of the loan process or the willingness to learn it quickly
  • Stellar phone skills and ability to make every caller feel valued
  • Solid work ethic
  • Dependability, efficiency, and great communication skills
  • Translatable skills and relevant expertise (e.g., from customer service, retail, or hospitality backgrounds)

Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming calls and connecting folks to the right department to get them what they need
  • Providing top-notch customer service while answering basic questions about VA loans
  • Juggling tasks like sending emails or instant messages to help quickly resolve issues
  • Handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism, ensuring borrowers feel heard and supported, even when they’re upset or frustrated
