About The Position

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned. Processes both international and domestic customer orders and takes appropriate action to ensure customer needs are met. Prepares all required shipping documents. Provides professional service to customers by taking orders, arranging for product transportation, monitoring orders, and resolving customer issues and problems. Responds to inquiries and requests for customer service and sales information. Develops positive rapport with customers, vendors, employees, sales, and management. Works with operations, sales, and accounting to improve customer relationships and resolve customer complaints. Works closely with the supply chain to coordinate product availability and handle supply issues. Develop extensive knowledge of company products, applications, and industry requirements. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to details and teamwork required. Codes and monitors sales related freight bills. Identifies and recommends process, policy, and procedure improvements. Maintains close communication with the sales team about any market intelligence gleaned from customer contact. Performs other duties as requested. The performance of key responsibilities will be used to measure effectiveness of the position. A.) from two-year college or technical school. Two years' experience in Customer Service or Sales. Must have strong communication skills and possess the ability to mediate situations among customers, vendors, employees, and others as they arise. Knowledgeable in movements of chemicals, supply chain, logistics, domestic and international shipping. Technical Skills Intermediate to advanced user of the Internet and Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets. A working knowledge of Chempax software. Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school.
  • Two years' experience in Customer Service or Sales.
