The ideal candidate will model customer service best practices, offering friendly, courteous, and efficient service to ensure a high-quality customer experience. This role involves participating in the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department’s Customer Service Division, with significant interaction with the general public. The position provides counter service and general office support, handles the Village’s main telephone line, and routes calls or provides information. It also includes responding to inquiries, managing incoming and outgoing mail, processing various payments (utilities, citations, taxes, receivables), balancing cash drawers, preparing bank deposits, reviewing revenue collection batches, entering escrow payments, performing miscellaneous billings, processing bills for payment, issuing real estate transfer stamps, responding to FOIA requests, tracking tax submittals, and performing data entry and electronic filing.
