About The Position

The shift schedule for this position is typically 2:30pm-11pm Monday - Friday, with frequent Saturdays, as well as some overtime as required by business need. This position is responsible for departmental interfacing with customers regarding their product throughput. Responsible for the customer’s inventory accuracy and record keeping. Responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer relations and coordinating with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. Safely and efficiently stage, load, and unload finished product and raw materials through the use of material handling equipment, attachments, tools and accessories. Stock and maintain warehouse inventory & warehouse cleanliness at all times ensuring the safety of yourself and others.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification and applicable state certification for forklifts.
  • 2+ years of forklift experience working in similar industry. Additional education may be substituted for years of work experience. Clamp exp preferred.
  • Manual dexterity and physical ability required for operating machinery.
  • Displays maturity, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attendance and attitude a must.

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Processes orders by EDI, fax or email.
  • Inputs receiving and shipping of customers goods into Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Resolves inventory, receiving, shipping and invoicing problems.
  • Participates in physical inventory counts.
  • Anticipates and corrects problems in delays and any additional information needed by customer.
  • Forwards to the Customer documents and records upon request.
  • Follows-up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • Checks orders to ensure they are accurate with regards to quantity shipped.
  • Prints and supplies special labeling when required to the shipping department.
  • Receives and checks customer complaints. Consult with warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipment.
  • Act as a backup for other Customer Service Representatives
  • Outbound and inbound inventory receiving, etc,
  • Complete damage reports, product, wrapping, pallet, bundle, crate, etc.
  • Safely and timely prepare and load products for transport.
  • Safely and timely stage products for loading.
  • Safely and timely load & unload products into on out of trucks, and/or railcar.
  • Move products safely into warehouse inventory storage.
  • Move waste & scrap into dumpsters as needed.
  • Manage partial pallet process timely and safely.
  • Responsible for quality control - damaged products.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Operate sit down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform daily forklift safety checks, preventive maintenance and report any issues.
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors.
  • Keep clean and maintain work area.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Maintains thankful, respectful, polite, and courteous attitude.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
