About The Position

Eagle River Water & Sanitation District is seeking a customer-focused and highly organized individual to join our Customer Service team in a six-month seasonal role. This position plays a key part in supporting essential administrative functions during our busiest months of the year. Our Customer Service team supports clean water initiatives, accurate billing, and provides tools and resources that help customers manage their water usage and payments. This role helps ensure smooth operations and outstanding service for customers from East Vail to Edwards.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates will excel at troubleshooting and addressing both internal and external customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions during our peak season.
  • Have obtained a high school diploma or GED, along with one to three years of related experience in accounts receivable, database management, data entry, customer service, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Ideal candidates are eager to learn, adapt to new tasks, and thrive in a team environment throughout the busy six-month assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Perform general office tasks; handle incoming/outgoing mail according to established procedures; follow best practices for mail, package, and delivery management.
  • Billing Assistance: Retrieve payments from the exterior drop box and deliver them to the Finance/Billing team.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist Customer Service Specialists and support utility billing processes; prepare and mail correspondence such as campaigns or meter-related notices.
  • Customer Interaction: Respond to inquiries via phone, email, chat, AI tools, or in-person regarding billing, payments, service connections, and general questions. Support visitor check-ins at lobby kiosk, front, and back gate locations.
  • Operational Support: Manage package deliveries, mail distribution, and the on-site mail lock box.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in workflow reviews and special projects focused on improving administrative efficiency and consistency.
