Griffith Foods is hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Customer Service Representative-Manufacturing with a strong manufacturing order management background to oversee the full lifecycle of customer orders from initial placement through final delivery. This is your opportunity to ensure an exceptional customer experience while supporting core Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality functions.

Requirements

  • Have a strong background in manufacturing order management.
  • Have a strong understanding of basic Supply Chain concepts.
  • Have proven customer service experience in a Manufacturing setting.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally.
  • Are extremely organized while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Have a problem solving aptitude with experience using root-cause analysis.
  • Have experience in handling confidential and proprietary information.
  • Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of proven success in a customer service role with top level clients.
  • Proficient in MS Office skills, such as Word and Excel.
  • willingness to work onsite in ALSIP, IL up to 5 days per week

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365)

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of customer orders, including entry, tracking, documentation, and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Scheduling, Planning, Operations, Quality Systems, Transportation, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Pricing, and Sales teams.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on order, shipment, and documentation issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, order histories, and documentation (spec sheets, Kosher/Halal certificates, MSDS requests, etc.).
  • Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates or delays to customers and the Sales team.
  • Negotiate order lead-times within approved Supply Chain guidelines.
  • Coordinate customer returns, adjustments, credits, and complaint resolutions through the CAPA system.
  • Contact transportation partners for shipment tracing, damage follow-up, and delivery confirmations.
  • Process invoices for customer shipments and ensure billing accuracy.
