About The Position

The Customer Service Representative serves as a primary liaison between Burke Corporation and its customers, sales representatives, and brokers. This role requires fostering a cooperative and respectful work environment and contributing to overall workplace harmony. The individual performs additional duties as assigned to support business and team objectives.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient at using Excel and Word
  • Requires problem solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively on the              phone and in person
  • Must be self-motivated, courteous, tactful, cooperative, inquisitive, and must work efficiently and accurately
  • Must be able to deal appropriately with stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work with multiple open issues effectively and accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • AS 400 experience is a plus.
  • Two or more years of customer service and telephone experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Order Entry
  • Processing orders for products received EDI, email, or telephone from customer or company employe
  • Edits orders received for price, accuracy, and nomenclature.
  • Works with multiple shipping departments to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • Must be able to multitask and be organized
  • Customer Service
  • Informs customers of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delay, and any additional information needed by customer, using email or telephone.
  • Reconciles customer needs with schedule and notifies Supervisor of problems or potential problems.
  • Works with OS&D and traffic on missing, damaged or delayed shipments.
  • Fill in for other CSR’s when out of office
  • Sales Support
  • Releases all samples sent in by sales team.
  • Acts as in-house liaison for sales reps and brokers.
  • Distributes surplus inventory list by faxing list to dealers and organizing orders.
  • Assists in outside customer specific warehouses inventories as needed.
  • Will be required to work with and develop equipment and ideas deemed to be confidential information and/or trade secrets. Will be required to protect the company's rights in and ownership of those trade secrets and confidential information.
