About The Position

A busy home medical company in Kinston is hiring a reliable, outgoing CSR to join their team. The Medical Intake Billing Assistant CSR is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, timely and accurate billing activities, including interactions with third party payers, clients, and referral sources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
  • Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
  • Ability to recognize and direct information to the appropriate health care provider.
  • Computer skills that include word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
  • Insurance reimbursement knowledge and health insurance billing experience.
  • One year of experience in HME Customer Service.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones
  • Monitoring inventory
  • Inputting demographics
  • Processing paperwork for New Referrals, prior authorizations
  • Weekly follow up on paperwork
  • Scanning and filing paperwork
  • Scheduling pickups, deliveries, and services
  • DME Train
  • Utilizing and maintaining task lists
  • Communicating updates with patients and referral sources
  • Working WIP
  • Pickup/Exchanges
  • Participates in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies
  • Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned by your Central Process Manager
