About The Position

This role is for a detail-driven, deadline-focused individual who excels at transforming complex requirements into accurate submissions. The Customer Service & Government Contracts Representative will identify government contract opportunities, prepare bid packages, and submit compliant proposals, while also providing customer service and managing house accounts. The position is ideal for someone who values structured work, accuracy, and accountability, and enjoys maintaining organization and progress. Custom Fabricating & Supplies (CFS), established in 2000 and operating from its Franklin, WI headquarters with additional U.S. locations, supports manufacturers with precision die cutting, industrial masking, and custom rubber molding, including silicone caps & plugs, high-performance tapes, custom die cuts, and flexible components like gaskets, seals, and spacers. CFS is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company and a 3M Preferred Converter, committed to quality, consistency, and reliable turnaround.

Requirements

  • Strong written/verbal communication and high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with deadlines, checklists, and documentation.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping accuracy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • 3+ years customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

  • B2B/manufacturing customer service experience is a plus.
  • Government bid/contract experience is a plus (but not required for the right fit).

Responsibilities

  • Proactively search for and identify government contract opportunities aligned with CFS products and capabilities.
  • Review solicitations and determine bid requirements, eligibility, and submission instructions.
  • Compile, organize, and prepare bid documentation and supporting materials (pricing inputs, technical details, compliance items).
  • Ensure bid packages are accurate, complete, and submitted on time in compliance with all stated requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of bids, submissions, and supporting documentation for tracking and follow-up.
  • Coordinate internally with Sales/Operations/Estimating/Engineering to gather what's needed to submit strong, compliant bids.
  • Serve as a primary contact for customer questions, quotes, and order processing.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in ERP/CRM systems.
  • Coordinate internally to support on-time delivery and clear customer communication.
  • Prospect lightly via research/email/calls to support growth.
