About The Position

Talon Hiring Solutions is looking for a Customer Service Freight Coordinator to support daily freight operations and carrier relationships. This role serves as a key point of contact for carriers and internal teams, ensuring accurate shipment tracking, timely communication, and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in transportation, logistics, or customer service
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma required; transportation experience a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TMS systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with carriers to provide shipment status updates and resolve issues
  • Make outbound and inbound calls to track shipments and confirm pickup/delivery details
  • Update shipments in customer web portals
  • Trace shipments using carrier systems and websites
  • Develop and maintain relationships with core carriers
  • Resolve carrier and customer inquiries related to freight in transit
  • Support team members and follow guidance from the Team Lead
  • Complete administrative and reporting tasks as needed
