About The Position

As a Customer Service Clerk at Milam’s Markets, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service at the front counter of our store. You will ensure efficient and friendly transactions with every customer, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assure proper sale and accounting of money orders/lottery during shift.
  • Provide fast, efficient, friendly customer service by greeting and thanking all customers and resolving any concerns.
  • Brew coffee and prepare beverages.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and atmosphere for customers.
  • Weigh and scan products accurately.
  • Accept payments and provide change as necessary.
  • Bag products when required.
  • Keep the register area neat and clean.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned.
  • Perform duties safely and efficiently, adhering to store safety policies.
  • Operate cash register accurately to itemize and total purchases.
  • Acknowledge and greet customers warmly, maintaining a positive attitude throughout interactions.
  • Handle groceries carefully and bag items effectively.
  • Collect and process payments by cash or charge according to store policies.
  • Manage damaged products and return to stock items per store procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and involve management when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as directed by department heads or management.
