Scope of Work The individual in this role will be highly proficient in processing transactions which may include new account opening, more complex customer transactions and customer problem resolution. This individual will be responsible for the daily management of vault cash. They will be responsible for the general oversight of the teller line and may assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of management. The individual will be knowledgeable of our company’s products and services to better meet the customer’s needs.

Requirements

  • Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Displays strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • 2+ years of teller experience
  • Experience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment
  • High school or General Education Diploma

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of banking regulations is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Transaction Processing/Cash handling
  • Proficient in processing transactions accurately and efficiently, including more involved customer requests such as debit card fraud, savings bond transactions, incoming/outgoing wire requests and a variety of account maintenance.
  • Accurately and efficiently verifies incoming and outgoing cash, including daily balancing of cash drawer and vaults.
  • Customer Experience
  • Displays the following attributes: friendly, outgoing, professional, courteous, projects a positive image, resolves problems quickly and efficiently, and is respectful to customers.
  • May provide qualified referrals to other business lines
  • Teller Line Leadership
  • Oversees and manages the day to day functions on the teller line to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provides ongoing training and coaching to the Customer Service Assistants by providing fundamental knowledge essential to preforming daily tasks
  • Serves as a role model and resource to others
  • Proficient with technology required for this position.
  • Promotes the Kennebunk Savings Brand by recommending our products and services, supporting our community focus & commitment to being a premier employer
  • Understands, supports and adheres to organizational policies and procedures
  • Consistently emphasizes the importance of teamwork in the department and company at large
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of company news and information
  • Responsible for completing required training and policy review
  • May serve on various committees
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks and duties
