About The Position

Under close supervision, this position will gain hands-on experience providing an exceptional customer experience. This role learns to embody a customer-centric focus and partner with internal teams to provide timely communication and a high-quality experience. This role will gain exposure to operational workflows, relationship management, and technology integration within a transportation setting. Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry Work with a managed client base to continuously improve shipment operations, such as automated tracking, online booking/shipment management, communication on accessorials, and offering solutions based on shipping patterns and needs Build an understanding of operational considerations (capacity, seasonality, pricing, etc.), key performance indicators, and customer needs that influence freight movement, growth opportunities, and customer interactions Observe and practice account management strategies through understanding J.B. Hunt service offerings, market impacts, and scorecards to be able to identify correlated solutions J.B. Hunt can provide Learn about the technology and tools J.B. Hunt leverages to streamline workflows and enable customer access to order management

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer.
  • GED (Required)
  • High School (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Junior or Senior level preferred
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
