  • C/C++ and Python proficiency.
  • Experience developing, training, or deploying models using an ML framework (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with embedded platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience with operating systems such as QNX, Linux, or Android.
  • Familiarity with machine learning accelerators or hardware blocks for embedded AI, including capabilities in inference optimization and edge deployment.
  • Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., OpenCV, OpenCL, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Caffe/Caffe2, Gstreamer pipelines).
  • Experience applying ML techniques in computer vision and NLP (including LLMs); experience with tuning generative models and/or reinforcement learning is a plus.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining ML/MLOps pipelines for reliable training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of neural network fundamentals (e.g., linear algebra, quantization, and common deep learning architectures).
  • Experience with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, kernel tracing, GDB) for troubleshooting embedded systems and AI applications.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused, cross-functional collaboration mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support deployment of computer vision and generative AI models (e.g., LLMs and vision-language models) on Snapdragon platforms, helping customers move from development to commercialization.
  • Support customer engagements through AI workload optimization, deployment guidance, and issue investigation/resolution.
  • Work with the team lead to plan project activities, own deliverables through completion, and maintain high quality standards.
  • Provide internal enablement (training, documentation, and hands-on support) and help resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges across teams and stakeholders.
  • Improve tools, workflows and documentation by identifying gaps, implementing enhancements, and measuring impact.
  • Assist in developing and integrating generative AI (including LLM) features into Snapdragon-targeted applications.
  • Implement model improvement techniques (quantization, pruning, graph transforms) to enhance performance and efficiency on-device.
  • Perform machine learning model benchmarking (both accuracy and latency) and functional analysis meet customer KPIs
  • Execute project deliverables end-to-end, including implementation, feature testing, and system verification.
  • Propose and prototype new product/feature concepts, validating feasibility and impact.
  • Drive system-level issue investigation to determine root cause and clearly communicate test and debug results to partners and internal teams.

Benefits

  • We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
