About The Position

We are seeking a Customer Engagement Specialist who thrives in a structured, service-oriented environment and is passionate about supporting individuals through program participation and eligibility processes. This role is instrumental in helping customers successfully navigate services from initial enrollment through benefit or service completion. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service acumen, professional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining detailed documentation and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to handle customer concerns calmly and follow established procedures
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Basic computer proficiency, including: Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Microsoft Teams Email and general typing skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple customers or tasks simultaneously
  • Professional demeanor and strong teamwork orientation

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish, highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with customers, monitor engagement and progress toward program goals.
  • Meet with customers regularly to support achievement of program objectives and ensure continued eligibility.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions related to program services and requirements.
  • Guide customers through multiple phases of the application and enrollment process, including benefits and service award stages.
  • Assist customers in accessing supportive services that facilitate program success, including: Educational or vocational training Medical services Childcare and transportation resources Substance abuse or mental health services Child support establishment Legal or related support services
  • Proactively follow up to ensure questions are resolved and needs are addressed.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to troubleshoot and resolve participant concerns.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case notes documenting all customer interactions and activities.
  • Share outreach and engagement insights with project staff.
  • Identify and escalate barriers preventing customer engagement or program success.
