About The Position

Customer Care Technician - Warranty (Full Time) - Gulfport/Biloxi, MS Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This job is a field position. There will be minimal work in an office environment. Job requires physical labor and meeting with customers in their homes. Please read the sections below for more details. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain quality assurance and provide warranty service to homeowners after closing. Conduct scheduled periodic home warranty inspections at 30 days, 6 months and 12 months after closing, or as needed by the home owner. Document items needing repair during scheduled warranty inspections. Work with Customer Care Coordinators with scheduling appointments with home owners and requesting work orders for repairs. Educate home owners to use and operate their homes’ mechanical and electrical equipment, as needed, during scheduled inspections. Light sheetrock, paint, plumbing, electrical, etc. may be needed during the home warranty inspection. Ensure all warranty service requests are complete within a certain time period. JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products; job requires use of an iPad and other programs to complete documents. Customer service background and a positive attitude are a must. Must have a strong work ethic and communication skills; the ability to handle confrontation in a professional manner is essential. Knowledge of residential construction; 2-5 years’ experience preferred. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid motor vehicle liability insurance are required; <90% travel required Physical stamina is required because this position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, some climbing or balancing and carrying. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Position is often exposed to various weather conditions (especially heat), loud noise, and vibrations.
