About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel is currently hiring a Customer Account Representative in our Specialty department to join our West Chester, Ohio team. Our Customer Account Representative is the central resource for customer account management and support. They are responsible for managing all aspects of the order flow process including project creation, release to manufacturing and confirming logistics support for final customer delivery. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, where multi-tasking and managing competing demands are critical to success. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 2 years relevant work experience or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem solving, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Initiative, detail orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Effectively communicates with team internally and externally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with mainframe applications/ ERP systems(s).
  • Proven analytical capabilities.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee customer accounts, including new customer set up, solicit price inquiries, quote prices, input customer orders and expedite material through our production facilities.
  • Build strong customer relationships with internal and external customers working in a team environment.
  • Possessing a working knowledge of plant processes, product characteristics, and systems requirements necessary for the completion of duties.
  • Provide day-to-day front-line customer support.
  • Verify and audit manufacturing order details.
  • Confirm orders have been approved for production.
  • Monitor hold queues and manage data files for inter-company transfers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
