About The Position

Custom Software Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; Morristown, NJ): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Custom Software Engineering Manager in Morristown, NJ, and the job duties are as follows: Design, develop and test custom software solutions across multiple system components or applications. Create implementation or integration approach for applications and components. Design and code applications in line with programming standards and interface specifications. Architect development strategy for applications and components. Coordinate development streams in line with overall program(s) timing and milestones. Build deployment plan, including the development plan and schedule, keeping in line with overall project timeline. Design, build, assemble, and configure application or technical architecture components using business requirements. Team with stakeholders on application and component design to secure buy in. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, Mathematics, Biotechnology, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.
  • Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: Application modernization of legacy business systems to gain operational efficiencies, address technology constraints, and support adoption of newer technologies; Software application design and development including Java, Oracle databases, SQL, and implementation of business processes; Design and develop application framework to establish foundation and standards for code migration and development of enhancements; Fixing defects in COTS (custom off the shelf) product code; Software packaging and deployment; and All stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements elicitation, design, build, deployment, and testing.
  • Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Leading a team of designers, developers, and testers in handling end-to-end application delivery; and Project managing, handling project risks and issues, and providing project status to the client and internal stakeholders.
  • Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
