About The Position

At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. What's the Short Version? The Custom Intern is responsible for supporting a Product Development and Merchandising team during an 8-week program held onsite at our headquarters in Issaquah, WA. The role assists the product line with a wide range of product categories and tasks, providing administrative support with design, quality testing, and product and sample tracking. What Will You Be Doing? Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks for a Product Development team. Monitor tracking charts and production status reports. Assist in managing all parcel movement, prepare and send packages, process inbound packages. Help maintain the fabric swatch library and sample racks. Job shadow various members of the department and assist them as needed. Assist in the preparation of samples for merchant presentations, customer visits, management meetings, etc. May perform data entry activities, database management operations and file maintenance. Assist in the research and analyzation of market trends to identify suitable products and develop presentations, product samples and market data to support the selling process. Participate in intern cohort activities including: professional development workshops, warehouse tours, and meetings with leadership. May perform or support special projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Design, Merchandising, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
  • Administrative skills which must include excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Responsive to staff needs, including professionalism, respect and consideration of others

Benefits

  • Pay: You`ll earn $21.39 on an hourly basis.
  • Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked.
