This position operates on a Monday - Friday schedule, 5:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including time management with an ability to prioritize and set clear expectations.
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
Knowledge of modern cleaning methods including basic methods of white boards, carpets, furniture, walls, and fixtures
Product labels/instructions for safe and appropriate use
Proper methods, techniques, materials, disinfectants, tools, and equipment used in modern custodial work.
Working knowledge of computers with an ability to open and read email, calendars, and event agendas.

Responsibilities

Assist in the inventory and stocking all supplies within areas of responsibility.
Demonstrate safe work habits and observe all applicable worker safety practices, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Plan, coordinate, and perform custodial work.
Utilize the proper usage of cleaning equipment and materials.
Use common cleaning materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
Operate a variety of custodial equipment.
Learn custodial procedures, methods, and schedules.
Observe and report safety hazards and needs for maintenance and repair.
Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order.
Move and rearrange furniture and equipment for meetings and special events!
Perform minor repairs.
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions/directions.
Meet schedules and timelines.
Work cooperatively with others.
Make appropriate decisions without assistance from immediate supervisor.
Perform physical labor; must be able to lift 50lbs.
Other duties as assigned.
Occasional overtime required for major events.
