This role is based at our facility in Tucson, AZ 2nd shift schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm Essential Tasks: This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs Required to do data entry and operate a computer at times Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, grip or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch at times Janitorial You will have the opportunity to: Perform job duties which focus on upkeeping the plant site including the change room, break room, locker room, bathrooms, respirator room, adjoining hallway, and metalizing restroom areas (bleach, pressure washing, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, etc.) ensuring they are clean and orderly Remove litter and waste materials from cafeteria, offices, conference rooms, and restrooms Clean, mop, and strip and wax all offices, restrooms, and tiled hallways Wash windows, walls, and doors; clean window shades as needed Inspect and properly dispose of biohazardous and nonhazardous waste according to established procedures Maintain assigned work area and generally plans own route schedule for completing assignments Maintain coffee and coffee supplies inventory levels and requisition supplies as needed Order supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties Laundry You will have the opportunity to: Provide locker room orientation to visitors Perform quality checks on uniforms Collect, run and distribute laundry Perform inventory on uniforms and other stock Operate washers and dryers in accordance with safety standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma /GED
  • 1 year experience working in a related field
  • Experience with effective laundry or cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Requires on-the-job training to learn operation of equipment and various cleaning techniques associated with the job
  • Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team to meet demands
  • Must have good verbal and written skills
  • The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
  • Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
