About The Position

Under the direction of the Executive Director with minimal supervision, the employee will be responsible for maintaining a healthy and clean environment for the Tribal Hall and all Tribal offices, including immediate outside parking areas and patios.

Requirements

Possess High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
Must be familiar with cleaning products and techniques.
Must have some training in handling and working with hazardous materials.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license and comply with the requirements of the Tribe’s driving policy and insurance requirements.

Nice To Haves

Prefer previous Custodial/Maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain all Tribal facilities at a clean and safe standard.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms daily.
Sweep floors as needed and mop at least once per week.
Vacuum-carpeted areas weekly and spot clean as needed.
Clean walls and windows as necessary.
Maintain inventory of supplies.
Ensure that Tribal tools, supplies, appliances and equipment are maintained in good condition.
Report to the supervisor any mechanical, electrical or any other abnormalities found around the facilities.
Remove trash from all Tribal facilities daily.
Keep outdoor areas clean and safe.
Prepare various venues for Tribal meetings and events.
Other related duties as assigned.
