Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial, janitorial, and general maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to operate small power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify potential issues while on assigned projects.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions; some work on grounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and public areas (Indoor/outdoor).
- Empty trash receptacles and disposal of waste in designated areas.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, cleaning materials, etc.
- Conduct inventory of cleaning supplies so that supplies are readily available.
- Perform routine floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
- Operate floor care equipment including buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
- Clean windows as needed.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and basic carpentry work.
- Report major repairs and maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of furniture and equipment for meetings, events, and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
