About The Position

The Custodian role involves providing the highest level of medical cleaning, ensuring patient, visitor, and clinician contact and confidentiality. This position requires adherence to current Government guidelines and regulations for medical cleaning and sanitation practices. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of cleaning and maintenance duties within medical facilities and surrounding areas, including specialized tasks like infectious waste handling and deep cleaning projects. The role demands reliability, excellent attendance, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a positive demeanor and adapting to a constantly changing environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of current Government guidelines/regulations for medical cleaning
• Current training on how to operate and maintain industrial cleaning machines including, carpet extractor, restroom cleaning machine and heavy duty floor cleaning machines, as well as basic housekeeping equipment
• Current training in Hospital/Medical cleaning and sanitation practices
• Be non-judgmental of clients and staff while maintaining the highest quality of confidentiality
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and when necessary independently and without supervision
• Must be reliable and exercise excellent attendance
• Must adhere to Stillaguamish policies and procedures set out by the Tribe
• High School diploma or GED required or be willing to obtain one within two year per period
• Some Computer skills
• Ability to handle highly confidential information
• Ability to interact in a positive demeanor
• Comfortable in a constantly changing environment, flexible and adaptable
• Current Washington State Driver’s License and ability to be approved by the Tribal insurance to drive Tribal vehicles
• Must successfully pass a thorough background check in accordance with child/adult abuse records guidelines
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen

• Clean sidewalks and parking lots using designated equipment
• Special projects and deep clean projects
• Fill in at alternate locations as needed
• Other various Custodian duties
