About The Position

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2025-2026 school year: Location: Grants Pass High School Custodian Position: Weekend – Four 10-hour days Hours: 8 hours per day Calendar: 260 days per year (July-June) Vision We Are GP! Requirements

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Knowledge and experience in grounds keeping.
  • Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the use and care of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Experience in janitorial work and demonstrated aptitude for successfully fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
  • Use cleaning materials and equipment with skill, efficiency and safety; perform heavy physical labor; understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students and the public.
  • Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
  • Prior to a final job offer being extended to an applicant, the applicant must show proof of successful completion of a Pre-Employment Functional Exam.
  • Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.

  • 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System.
  • Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1,000-$1,600), contingent on ratification and School Board approval.
