Custodian, 1st Shift
About The Position
As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our campus facilities, contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for a variety of custodial tasks, including cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces according to established standards and schedules. The Custodian is responsible for cleaning campus buildings including: mopping, stripping and/or finishing floors, cleaning areas requiring use of ladder, operating heavy cleaning equipment, rodent and pest control and moving furniture or classroom building materials The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job. Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders to reach high places including replacing ceiling light bulbs, move heavy furniture, lift heavy boxes (50 – 75 pounds), operate heavy cleaning equipment, and ability to mop extensive area.
- Possess organizational skills and ability to work well with others.
Nice To Haves
- Prior related job experience (1 – 2 years).
- Training or prior experience in use of cleaning equipment and job functions.
