Position Summary: At Thorne, our custodian team is an intricate part of our operation. Our hourly custodian roles offer hands-on experience in a clean, safe, and innovative environment with opportunities for growth and development. Ensuring our facilities meet our strict quality standards, cleaning, sanitizing equipment, or changing out supplies every team member plays a critical role in delivering trusted solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to safely work with ingredients and products that are derived from possibly allergenic sources including, but not limited to, nuts, soy, dairy, fish, and shellfish.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily custodial maintenance duties as required including sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, mopping, and trash removal, as well as specialized floor care such as waxing, burnishing, and carpet care with limited or no interference with operations. Must be able to use ladders. Must be able to stand for 8-10-, and 12-hour shifts.
  • Pays attention to detail and is consistent, cleaning the facility thoroughly and proficiently.
  • Effectively completes routine receiving and deliveries and stocking of supplies, such as production supplies, production uniforms, production cleaning supplies, and cafeteria supplies.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; performs routine maintenance as required.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Thorne facility and demonstrates initiative to report damage or potential problems with equipment or with the building in a timely manner.
  • Maintains work areas in a neat and efficient matter, assuring equipment and tools are properly stored after each project is completed.
