About The Position

Regina Health Center is a mission-based skilled nursing facility of excellence located on 230 beautiful acres in Richfield, Ohio. We are currently seeking a custodian/security employee to provide building safety and security, custodial duties, and building and grounds maintenance. We are searching for a full-time employee to work Monday-Friday on second (2nd) shift from 3:00 pm. until 11:30 pm. Responsibilities include securing and locking up the facility as well as monitoring and unlocking employee and main entrances throughout the 2nd shift. In addition to providing building safety and security, routine trash and recyclables pick up is required to create and ensure a pleasant, comfortable and safe physical environment for residents, staff and visitors. Additional duties may include meeting room set-up, painting, light carpentry, grounds keeping including snow removal , and emergency response for plumbing and water situations. Responsibilities will also include the completion of mandated fire drills and documentation to be in compliance with all facility policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local guidelines and regulations. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and/or Assistant Administrator. Must maintain open communication with nursing staff, residents, and visitors of the facility. Requirements

  • Must be able to perform routine building walk-throughs which requires the ability to stand/walk during the shift
  • Must be able to perform routine trash and recyclable pick up, respond to emergency maintenance and repairs, and facility and grounds keeping both indoors and outdoors, and adapt to weather conditions
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements which includes frequently lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Must be able to and capable of completing all facility fire safety, life safety and sanitary duties
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge to perform minor troubleshooting and repairs
  • May occasionally provide porter services by assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to interact with staff and residents in a professional manner to ensure a safe environment and quality of life for RHC residents
  • High School Diploma or GED
