POSITION SUMMARY: The Custodian is responsible for daily cleaning/housekeeping, upkeep, and general maintenance of assigned location.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance, housekeeping, and/or custodial experience.
  • Strong bias for action; sense of urgency.
  • Focus on serving customers, both internal and external.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to walk and stand frequently on various surface types.
  • Ability to push/pull 35 pounds.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb/bend/stoop/reach.
  • Ability to navigate a production environment.
  • Successful completion of pre-hire drug screen and post offer background screen is required to obtain employment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, kitchens, conference rooms and health and/or first aid rooms.
  • Maintain cleaning room supply inventory, basic equipment, and general maintenance of custodial equipment.
  • Deep clean individual offices per schedule and general office cleaning.
  • Pick up trash throughout building and grounds.
  • Timely communicate building issues to supervisors.
  • Effectively operate sit down and/or push vacuums on all carpets/rugs, spot clean carpets/rugs, mop and buff floors.
  • Strip, scrub and wax all floors.
  • Load, sort, and deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Move or assist with moving boxes/furniture and other requests to complete projects and scheduled tasks.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.
  • Main Office Clean showroom.
  • Consolidate shred bins for onsite shredding.
  • Conducts monthly inspection of fire extinguishers, emergency lights and water valves.
  • Restock breakroom condiments, lids, and napkins.
  • Plant Operate sweeper/scrubber on plant floor aisles.
  • May assist in setting up/breaking down meeting rooms.
  • Submits custodial supply order.
  • Maintain sidewalks during inclement weather when additional support beyond vendor services is required.
  • Primary backup for delivery of interplant mail and packages.
