About The Position

Under minimal supervision, responsible for supervising and inspecting housekeeping and janitorial duties of other custodian personnel including inspecting areas of responsibility. Reviews the work of subordinates in custodial related activities. Leads or mentors lower level team members.

Requirements

• Ability to use common cleaning tools and lightweight vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffers.
• Ability to follow the work schedule and work safely lifting/moving lightweight objects.
• Ability to read and/or follow simple direction/signs, and follow simple verbal and/or written instructions.
• EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED is required.
• EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years experience in general custodial or janitorial work plus one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity is required.
• LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION: Valid TX Driver's License is required - must have a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspects areas of responsibility.
• Reviews the work of subordinates in custodial and related activities.
• Advises superiors regarding the need for repairs and/or maintenance.
• Issues and controls use of supplies and equipment for custodial work.
• Keeps time records and trains employees.
• Gives general and detailed instructions to assigned subordinate personnel and recommends the need for additional training and corrective action through documentation.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
