About The Position

Position Function: To perform duties necessary for the routine cleaning and upkeep of buildings. Salary Grade : CUS-1 Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to work with others and to receive and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work long hours.
• Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of Human Resources Management.

Nice To Haves

• Grade school education.
• Experience in custodial work.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust mop, wet mop and scrub floors.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, doors and other building surfaces.
• Clean, wax and buff floors.
• Clean restroom facilities and replenish supplies.
• Collect trash and empty in trash collection containers.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and other materials as requested.
• Dust and polish furniture.
• May change light bulbs and spray rooms for pests.
• May vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
