Custodian - Building & Grounds
About The Position
As part of our growing VTC team, this position plays a key part in ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include daily custodial care, maintaining grounds, and providing support for both interior and exterior upkeep across multiple VTC locations. Key functions include: Cleaning and sanitizing offices, restrooms, and common areas Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and floor care Emptying trash/recycling Maintain inventory and order supplies Groundskeeping duties such as raking, snow/ice removal, and keeping entryways clear General building maintenance tasks (filter changes, minor repairs, unclogging drains, etc.) Identifying maintenance or safety concerns and assisting with solutions Maintaining confidentiality and upholding VTC standards Other duties not listed above may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Current Driver's License
- Time management and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
