About The Position

This position is part of the AbilityOne Program, a national program that provides employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities. Through nonprofit agencies, the program offers employment opportunities in areas such as custodial, landscaping, and food preparation services to a diverse range of government customers. The program also requires that 75% of the services provided be completed by individuals who meet the definition of federal disability. Requirements

  • Must have 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • You must wear the appropriate PPE, including glasses, gloves, a mask, goggles, and closed-toe shoes.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps the assigned area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Prepare chemicals for use in the performance of various cleaning tasks, in accordance with instructions
  • Care for equipment and perform routine maintenance and cleaning as needed
  • Perform cleaning duties as instructed and assigned, including but not limited to:
  • Restroom cleaning, replenishing paper products, and soap in restrooms.
  • Office cleaning, empty trash receptacles, dust surfaces, damp wipe surfaces, vacuum, sweep.
  • Removal of trash
  • Floor cleaning includes sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, and wet mopping.
  • Performance of cleaning duties may take place in an indoor/outdoor environment, depending on the customer’s needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
