The Office of Faculty Development & Diversity (OFDD) is seeking a highly qualified Curriculum and Program Development Specialist. This is a 10.5 month position, the employee will be off the month of June and 2 weeks in January. Hiring budget for this position is between $65,553 - $73,016/annual and an offer will be based on the finalist’s experience. This is a full time, 40 hour/week, on campus position (within daily commuting distance from Ithaca, NY). Some hybrid activities are possible, but the employee will be expected to be on campus regularly and frequently. Fully remote work is not available for this position. Who we are: The Office of Faculty Development & Diversity (OFDD) provides a range of resources and programs, including training and support for individual faculty, department chairs, and deans, in the areas of faculty development and diversity. OFDD works with faculty, chairs, and search committees to improve recruitment and retention practices and to increase diversity in faculty hiring. The office provides guidance to the academic leadership and to individual faculty members on mentoring and the tenure and promotion processes. OFDD also offers professional development programming and grants opportunities for faculty and academic staff. Purpose and Goals: Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice Provost, the Curriculum and Program Development Specialist will collaborate with other units (Graduate School, Center for Teaching Innovation and the Cornell Interactive Theater Ensemble), and be responsible for working with faculty and academic leaders to support faculty, and specifically early career faculty, assess department climate, and design and deliver concrete plans and programs to address areas of concern and enhance areas of strength. The Curriculum and Program Development Specialist will facilitate and co-facilitate ongoing programs offered by OFDD, e.g. search committee workshops, mentoring faculty workshops and programs in collaboration with other campus units.
