The Culture & Impact Team encompasses four key verticals: 1) Opportunity, Inclusion, and Belonging (OIB), 2) Volunteerism, 3) Attorney and GO Team Engagement, and 4) Onboarding. Together, these verticals are designed to create meaningful experiences and programs that foster a workplace where employees and Partners feel connected, supported, and empowered. The team leads initiatives that strengthen Goodwin’s culture, promote inclusion and belonging, encourage impactful community engagement, and ensure a welcoming experience for all new hires. Through collaboration and innovation, the Culture & Impact Team helps build a firm where everyone can thrive and contribute to positive change. We are seeking a passionate, self-motivated, and highly driven student eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment, with a primary focus on supporting our global Opportunity, Inclusion, and Belonging (OIB) initiatives. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with prior co-op experience who thrives in both independent and collaborative settings and possesses strong prioritization, project coordination, and writing skills. Experience with OIB programs, data analysis, or training development is preferred. This role will work closely with members of the Culture and Impact team, supporting projects related to the Attorney and GO Team Engagement in addition to OIB.

Requirements

  • A strong communicator (written and verbal) with presentation skills
  • Self-motivated to take initiative and follow-through
  • Highly proficient with internet-based applications, Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and internet research
  • Able to work independently and within a matrixed team environment and bring excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to juggle multiple responsibilities with extraordinary attention to detail
  • Quick learner, strong organization skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to meet and exceed deadlines
  • Able to problem-solve and think innovatively to solve complex issues
  • Deeply knowledgeable of cultural competencies OR a strong desire to learn
  • Curious, thoughtful, driven – and willing to share your perspective and lived experiences within our team environment

Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of global OIB programs and initiatives
  • Support 10 inclusion networks both locally and globally
  • Support the planning of speaking engagements and heritage months & days of significance
  • Support the planning and implementation of OIB conferences, trainings and events
  • Assist with internal communications, social media content, and other marketing and communication activities related to OIB
  • Assist with OIB budget and other team operations functions e.g., timelines, scheduling, calendars, notetaking
  • Support other initiatives on the Culture and Impact team as needed
