About The Position

This is highly advanced and specialized work requiring considerable independent decision-making regarding directing building maintenance operations at Miami-Dade County Auditorium. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for planning, administering, and directing building maintenance, custodial, and security-related functions and all personnel, operational planning, preventative maintenance, life cycle analysis, and finance matters pertaining to those areas. This position may be required to operate building systems to include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, hydraulics, elevators, fire alarms and sprinklers, emergency power generation, communications, controls, tools, equipment and materials of the building and mechanical trades, security and surveillance systems that are included in this area. This position will be tasked with supervising custodial services and staff of maintenance employees and/or contracted service providers assigned to various phases of facility operations or maintenance by means of field inspections, reviews of performance, activity reports, and financial statements. This position may be required to conduct maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction procedures and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of experience in the managing of a building to include supervisory experience for building services contracts, and facility budgeting are required.
  • Additional experience in the managing of a building to include supervisory experience for building services contracts, and facility budgeting may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
