Culinary Worker
About The Position
You’ll be responsible for replenishing napkin dispensers, plate racks, silverware racks, salt and pepper shakers and condiments. Make coffee, tea and other beverages and set up cafeteria lines and serve meals on the line. Assist in the storage and inventory of supplies; transfer food ingredients from storage area to cooking area. Clean food service area, tables and kitchen equipment and appliances. MTC is proud to operate the San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach, CA where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. Requirements
- Preferred six (6) months food services experience or completion of culinary training program.
- Must obtain ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment
Responsibilities
- Prepare vegetables, salads, meat, bread, and desserts as instructed or routinely set forth in an appetizing manner.
- Perform clean-up and sanitation duties by washing dishes/utensils, store in orderly fashion.
- Perform cooking duties as needed.
- Assist with food preparation and service area daily which includes keeping refrigerators, floors, and food carts clean.
- Promote and support positive customer service through the facility.
