About The Position

The Utility Worker supports the culinary team by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. This role is responsible for dishwashing, sanitation, basic food prep support, waste management, and assisting with daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or janitorial experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable, team-oriented, and punctual
• Willingness to follow instructions and safety procedures

Nice To Haves

• Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or janitorial experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to health and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including floors, walls, prep stations, and storage areas
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries and inventory
• Empty trash and recycling, ensuring proper waste handling procedures are followed
• Support chefs and cooks with basic prep tasks as needed (peeling, portioning, labeling, stocking)
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Assist with setup and breakdown of workstations and service areas
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
• Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen and food & beverage operations
