About The Position

Summary: The Culinary Supervisor supports day-to-day culinary operations at America First Field, home of Real Salt Lake and Utah  Royals, as well as concerts, special events, and catered functions. This role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and supporting efficient execution across concessions, premium areas and event catering.

Requirements

  • Previous culinary, kitchen, or food service experience (stadium, catering, or high-volume preferred).
  • Prior Supervisory or lead experience in a kitchen or event environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Obtain valid Utah Food Handlers Permit or Manager Food Safety Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sports venues, arenas, convention centers, or large-scale catering.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or event-based culinary operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise culinary team members during soccer matches, concerts, and special events.
  • Support execution of concessions, catering, suites, clubs, and VIP food service.
  • Ensure food is prepared, plated, and served according to established standards.
  • Assist with event prep, breakdown, and post-event kitchen resets.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
  • Enforce proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature controls.
  • Maintain clean and organized kitchen and prep areas.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and on-shift leadership to culinary staff.
  • Model professionalism, teamwork, and guest-focused service.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, chefs, and event leadership.
  • Assist with inventory control, product usage, and waste reduction.
  • Support menu execution for catering events and concerts.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and labor guidelines.
  • Step in to perform culinary tasks as needed to support the team.
