Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in food service, commercial kitchens, or catering operations
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary training or degree in culinary arts, hospitality, or food service management
  • Experience in nonprofit, wellness, or community-based food programs
  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary restrictions, and culturally responsive meal planning
  • Experience managing budgets and inventory
  • ServSafe certification

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and oversee daily meal service and catering operations
  • Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and supervision
  • Develop menus that meet nutritional guidelines, dietary needs, and budget requirements
  • Coordinate catering for events, meetings, and special programs
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Order food, supplies, and equipment; manage inventory and control costs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with program staff to support organizational events and wellness goals
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
