About The Position

The Culinary Assistant supports the tasting room’s culinary operations by preparing, assembling, and presenting high-quality food elements that enhance the winery’s guest experience. This role works closely with the Hospitality team to execute seasonal pairings, maintain clean and organized workspaces, follow food safety standards, and ensure seamless service flow. Through reliable execution, attention to detail, and commitment to hospitality, the Culinary Assistant works closely with the Chef to deliver an experience that is a consistent reminder of how wine and food forges meaningful connections and memorable experiences.

Requirements

  • You have knowledge of all kitchen areas, including prep, pantry, and culinary methods.
  • You have knowledge of wines, wine tastings and food wine pairings.
  • Preferred you have a minimum of 1 years’ experience with the Californian Food Handler Card and/or Serve-Safe Certified
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • You have the ability to work independently
  • You are professional and have a positive attitude
  • You are able to lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • Assist with current food offerings to include slicing, assembling of cheese and charcuterie plates, dish station, food prep set up for food programs, delivery of culinary products, on site and off site.
  • Works with the Culinary Team and Manager in food needs and inventory.
  • Works with the Culinary Team, Manager, and other team members on menu ideas, tasting food programs and food and wine pairing.
  • Ensures all food production meets TWE and Culinary Manager standards.
  • Support Back of the House and Front of the House duties as needed to include weekends, evenings and Holiday’s as needed
  • Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours
  • Assist with proper receiving, inspecting, and storing of all food and supply orders
  • Collaborate with Culinary Team and Manager on new menu ideas
