About The Position

To meet an ever-expanding need for mental health services in Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas, STR Behavioral Health is excited to announce our new campus is now open! Our residential facility is nestled on 13 acres in the heart of Bucks County. This unique 30-bed facility, designed with intimate and personalized care in mind, will provide an ideal client-to-clinician ratio for unparalleled individualized attention, support, and holistic recovery. Schedule: Full Time Swing Friday - Monday. Friday & Saturday 1030am-6pm Sunday & Monday 630am-230pm. Conditions We Treat: Anxiety disorders Bipolar disorder Co-occurring substance use disorders Co-occurring eating disorders Borderline personality disorder Depressive disorders Obsessive-compulsive disorder Schizophrenia & schizoaffective disorder Position Summary Culinary Assistant I will be responsible for preparing and serving food items with attention to special needs and within food safety standards. Culinary Assistant will maintain that the kitchen, dining area and storage area are clean and organized. Relationships and Contacts Within the organization: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with peers and accounting team members throughout STR Cedar Creek and affiliated facilities. Outside the organization: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with third party vendors, as necessary.

Requirements

  • This position requires a high School diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
  • 1 or more years of prior food service in the human services field required.
  • Strong organization skills, detail-orientated
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Good time management and ability to work within deadlines
  • Working knowledge of google email, sheets, and docs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Operate basic hand tools, powered and non-powered

Nice To Haves

  • ServeSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing healthy, flavorful menu options
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Monitor and record daily temperature logs for refrigerators and freezers
  • Ensure high quality food and beverages are provided in timely manner
  • Serve meals and snacks to clients with attention to special needs
  • Provide food for clients when scheduled and as requested
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment and in an orderly and sanitary manner
  • Support the proper rotation of food items to prevent unnecessary spoilage
  • Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor when interacting with clients
  • Working knowledge and practice of state and local food safety standards
  • Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by the Executive Chef
