Our care community hosts Assisted and Memory Care services for a total of 68 units. Managed by Ebenezer, we are proud of our skilled, compassionate, and good-natured team of employees. "It's a good life at Northern Lakes." The Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to-go meal service to residents. This nutrition services schedule includes; 19 hours every two weeks; part-time Evening Shift- Great schedule for students! Includes every other weekend & holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year experience

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting.
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident's specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follows proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction.
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately.
• Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
