About The Position

This position is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to residents. The work schedule includes Week 1: Mon, Wed, Sat & Sun from 4pm-7:30pm and Week 2: Mon, Wed & Fri from 4pm-7:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting
  • Follows meal serving schedule and procedures
  • Offers resident meal choices and meets resident's specific dietary needs
  • Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques
  • Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures
  • Follows proper procedures for dining room set-up
  • Follows proper work flow to stay on task
  • Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service
  • Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift
  • Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction
  • Welcomes residents and initiates conversation
  • Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
  • Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately
  • Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate
